- Price per class includes classroom and range instruction, and does not include range fees. Range fees are normally about $40 per person. Students must provide their own registered California legal handgun, 200rds of fmj non-steel ammunition (available for purchase at range), 2 magazines, magazine holder, eye protection, hearing protection, closed toed shoes, long pants, crew neck shirt, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for range day. It is always a good idea to bring snacks, lunch, and drinks. Defensive shooting requires a quality kydex or similar holster designed for your model pistol. No Serpa holsters, pancake holsters, or pocket holsters.
