•  "Most defensive pistol practitioners train to have a fast and accurate draw-to-first-shot to counter an attack that couldn't be avoided. The industry standard goal for a draw-to-first-shot used is typically 1.5 seconds, the approximate time it takes an assailant to attack from 21 feet.  93% of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty die from gunfire, according to a Johns Hopkins University study. Of these firearm-related deaths, 10% involved officers being shot with their own weapons. This highlights a significant risk in high-stress, close-quarters encounters where officers may be disarmed or ambushed. This risk extends to CCW holders and people defending their homes. Our goal is to better your odds. Our defensive tactics class focuses on close quarters pistol retention techniques and firing from compromised positions, because life is lived closer than 21 feet.  We  created our Defensive Tactics/Combatives Program to fill this gap." -Carl

Defensive Tactics: First Responders, Law Enforcement, Military, Security*

• We live in a world where everything is being recorded, and our public actions and split second decisions may be reviewed under a microscope. Our defensive tactics techniques are designed to protect both the officer and assailant.   This specialized training program consists of  Jiu-jitsu techniques that have been been adapted specifically for Police, Executive Protection, Security, and First Responder needs. Techniques include de-escalation, weapon retention, take down and control, defenses and reversals  against a combative assailant. This course is available to beginner or experienced practitioners*. Each Defensive Tactics class is 2hrs duration, unless previously arranged.

**Pricing

Price per person per class includes classroom and training  scenario instruction. All training materials are supplied. Note taking materials, closed toed shoes, loose fitting pants, crew neck shirt are recommended. It is always a good idea to bring snacks, lunch, and drinks for longer classes.
